Dr. Kari Cummons is a forensic and clinical psychologist completing her post-doctoral residency under the supervision of Dr. Amy James. She completes forensic psychological evaluations, including, but not limited to, parental capacity, capital and non-capital sentencing, mental status at the time of the offense, adult and juvenile criminal capacities, child custody, recidivism risk, and other general psychological evaluations occurring in the course of legal proceedings. While in her doctoral program at Florida Institute of Technology, Dr. Cummons completed court-ordered competency to proceed evaluations in secure settings. She also conducted follow-up competency assessments on residents deemed incompetent to proceed, and who were housed in a secure forensic treatment facility. Apart from a year-long internship at Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Orlando with clinical and forensic rotations,  Dr. Cummons worked as a psychological technician for the company since 2018.
